Bring Up With Love

Aaah... Pastoral scenes like this make me wish I could see these cute little critters grow up!

They look cute, but you can never forget that they're wild beasts! There's no way I can handle them all on my own... Do you know anyone who could help me raise them...?

"I can help you."

Aaah... Pastoral scenes like this make me wish I could see these cute lttle critters grow up!

They look cute, but you can never forget that they're wild beasts! There's no way I can handle them all on my own... Do you know anyone who could help me raise them?

It's a very dangerous job! It's not for just anyone...

(This quest may only be undertaken by a character of level 65 and above.)

Oh, really? Well, I guess you're up to the job! As you probably know, it's not easy to tame a wild animal. Unless they're given the proper training, they can be quite dangerous! When they're young they hardly present a risk, but the danger grows as they do... Are you sure you want to do this?

"Yes."

Very well...

Do you know how to raise a beast?

"Yes." "No."

OK, I'll explain it to you. First, you'll notice feed sellers around here. Buy some feed from them and give it to the Alpen Kookaburra, Alpen Buffalo and Alpen cougar.

"...And then what?"

It's simple! The baby beasts either have a kind or an evil heart. If it has a kind heart, it will recognize you as its master and follow you. If it has an evil heart, it will become a vicious monster.

"...And then?"

Rarely, a baby beast appears that doesn't have a trace of evil in its heart. These beasts make very loyal and affectionate pets. No more than one in twenty are so well-disposed... When the beast nears maturity, it produces a white gemstone known as a Jewel of Innocence. It's proof that the beast was raised properly. The gemstone is a reward for the master, for the patience and hard work invested.

"What are you trying to say?"

Please bring me a Jewel of Innocence. This isn't something you can purchase, or kill something for... You must earn it by raising a beast yourself!

Alas, this is an honor that only comes once in a lifetime... I'll never forget my little beast... And the brilliance of that gemstone!

If only I could possess one again... Could you please bring a Jewel of Innocence to me?

"I'll do it."

Oh, wonderful! First you'll need to get some feed from one of the sellers around here and start training your beast. You'll have that gemstone in no time!

But beware the baby beasts that are hiding an evil streak! You shouldn't need a very large team for this assignment. I'll be waiting!

Buy feed from the feed sellers. You'll find them around here. Raise the Alpen Kookaburra, Alpen Buffalos and Alpen Cougar. Bring me any Jewel of Innocence you get.

The Jewel of Innocence! Please! Give it to me! I'll pay you well for it! Please, give it to me!

"Here you go."

Oh, a Jewel of Innocence! Isn't it beautiful?! See how it sparkles...

Sob! I'm sorry! Just looking at it breaks my heart!

I was so young! So full of hopes and dreams... all but forgotten now...

Now I think I can do it! My dream... to create a world in which everyone understands each other...

I'm not sure how I'll do it, but I'll make it work somehow!
