Mass of Darkness

Soon we will hold the mass of darkness in honor of Gran Kain of the darkness and Shilen, the mother of the abyss. This mass is the most sacred religious ceremony of our race. The clergy of the sanctuary are very busy with preparations. We are suffering from lack of help, but I cannot possibly ask a favor of our guests!

Soon we will hold the mass of darkness in honor of Gran Kain of the darkness and Shilen, the mother of the abyss. This mass is the most sacred religious ceremony of our race. The Human Mystics of the Ivory Tower who attended last year's mass were awed at the size and magnificence of the mass. This year's mass will be no less grand. The clergy of the temple are very busy with preparations. There are a few items needed for the mass that must be fetched from the village. If we are short on help later, I may need you to deliver those items for me.

We must fetch a few things from the village that are needed during the mass. We are short on help, so I would like to ask you to deliver those items for me. Do you think you could spare the time?

Say you will take the task

Take this letter and bring me the items from the village. You must seek out three people -- Iria of the weapons shop, Dorankus of the warehouse, and Master Trudy of the House of Elders. Bring the ceremonial dagger used during the ceremony from Trader Iria, the wine that I entrusted a few years ago from Warehouse Keeper Dorankus, and Garmiel's Scripture from Master Trudy.

I'm sure it's not a difficult task, going around and collecting supplies? I will not tolerate mistakes. Don't worry, I'll reward you as soon as the job is completed.

Don't return unless you have all the items that I have asked for. Don't tell me that you have forgotten what you must bring back? I will tell you one more time, so pay attention. Get the ceremonial dagger from Iria of the weapons shop, the wine from Dorankus of the warehouse, and Garmiel's Scripture from Master Trudy of the House of Elders. I hope you will not ask me again.

The ceremonial dagger, holy wine, and Garmiel's Scripture, which contains the truth of the darkness ... You have brought them all. It will be a mass that will please the gods more than ever. Good job. I will pay you as promised. May the shelter of the abyss defend you.

Abyssal Celebrant Undrias has sent you, I see. This is a special dagger crafted by Karrod for use in this year's mass of darkness. Isn't it beautiful? Be careful! Although it is ceremonial, it still has a sharp blade. If you're not careful, you may cut your finger!

Take this ceremonial dagger to Abyssal Celebrant Undrias. It is a precious item to be used in the mass of darkness, so be careful not to misplace it. I cannot be held responsible or help you if you lose it.

Ah! You're here for the item that Undrias entrusted to me? Here it is! Dreviant wine, made from the poison of spiders. A rare wine that even I have never tasted. He gave it to me a year ago, and now he asks for it! I guess he stored it away in safekeeping for this year's mass.

You haven't left for the sanctuary of Shilen yet? Hurry and deliver the wine I have given you to Abyssal Celebrant Undrias! It is a very precious wine, so take care that you do not break the bottle!

So Undrias has sent you. Please give this scripture to him. It was discovered in an abandoned mine by sentry warriors sent to the Misty Mountains to fight the orcs. Surprisingly, it is a scripture written by ancient Humans who served Gran Kain. Isn't that interesting?

Undrias says that he plans to recite a portion of this scripture during this year's mass of darkness. Be sure to deliver this scripture to him.

I see that you haven't gone to the sanctuary yet. Deliver Garmiel's Scripture that I have given you to Abyssal Celebrant Undrias. Please hurry. You don't want the mass to be delayed on your account, do you?
